Team

*Disclaimer: These are only my feelings.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion*

Team. Together.Everyone.Achieves.More.  Isn't this so true?  This one word can apply in the workplace, in the schoolyard, and on the basketball court.  When a group of individuals work as a team, things get done faster, it's more effective, and everyone shares the collective responsibility.  Nothing was more evident on Sunday when the Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.  A basketball team comprised of 12 individals each sharing collective responsibility beat a team comprised of individuals.  For those that watched the game, how many times did you hear the names, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh?  If you are on the same page as I am, a lot! You know what though? There are still 9 other people on that team. MVP Dirk Nowitzki was 9 for 27 in field goal attemps.  Not one of his best shooting nights but, his team helped him out.

One begins to wonder about the Heat.  Are there too many superstars on that team?  Think about it, LeBron was a superstar in Cleveland, Bosh was a superstar for Toronto, and Wade was already a star in Miami.  All 3 of them were the ones called upon in the final minutes of the game to help lead their team to victory.  Now that they are together, it becomes the James, Wade, Bosh, show.  Perhaps they were a bit selfish.  Besides Nowitzki, who were the superstars on the Mavs?  The Mavericks played as a cohesive unit.  Look what happened, they beat the Superstars and won an NBA Championship.  Together Everyone Achieves More.  Just like the Mavs.
