Whoo! It is Friday!! The weather has been turning around and it is finally getting nice again. Not humid or rainy like it has been for most of this week. I'm linking up with Lauren like usual, and here is what I am loving about this week!

1. I used my small curling wand for the first time in a long time, and I loved the results! I snapped a picture to document my good hair day!

2. I am starting to add PiYo into my workout routine. It is a combo of pilates and yoga, and looks like it can get pretty intense.

3. I watched the NBA Draft last night, and was excited to see 2 of my beloved Duke players get drafted! Good luck to Jabari, and Rodney!

4. Can you believe the 4th of July is almost here? I sure can't!

5. I have been making hot mint tea with fresh mint from the garden...SO GOOD!

What have you loved about this week? Leave me a comment and let me know!

One Year Ago...

Here is what was on the blog! I figured why not look back and see what I posted on the exact day last year.

Last year I posted some "Food for Thought" for you! Why not take a look at it again on this June 25th?

Lip Addict Tag

If you know me and have read my blog for an extended period of time, you know I LOVE lip products! So when I first saw this tag on YouTube, I knew I had to put this on the blog! Some of these products I have already reviewed, so I will make sure to include the links to those products! Enjoy these lip products!

1. Favorite balm or treatment: Lypsyl Intense Protection  I love the minty flavor and how hydrating this product is! I will definitely repurchase!

2. Best eye catching redMireness Glossy Kiss in Flirty Kiss is a beautiful red! This makes your teeth look whiter as well.

3. Best luxury and best drugstore: IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush I love how this feels on my lips, and I love how every time I wear it I get a different color! For drugstore, I love the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. They last all day on me, and well into the night! There is no feathering, and no drying my lips out! Love these!

4. Best MAC lipstick: I don't own any MAC lipsticks.
IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush

5. Most disappointing product: Em Cosmetics lip balm, this lip balm was too light for my lips and was sticky. Luckily, it was free in one of my subscription boxes.

6. Liner-yes or no: I will occassionally use a lip liner. Lately, I have been using my Starlooks lip liner in Tickle Me Pink.

7. Best gloss: Rimmel 6 hour lip gloss is a great non sticky gloss, and come in a wide range of colors. (Once I try it out more, I will probably add NYX Butter Gloss to this list!)

8. Something extra: Wet n Wild Megalast Matte Lipstick I absolutely love the color Cherry Picking! It is a beautiful raspberry red and looks gorgeous anyone! I love the fact that it is matte!

Did any of your favorite lip products make my list? Leave me a comment and let me know your favorites! I'd love to hear from you!

It is Friday! Unfortunately, I have been suffering with allergies this past week and I have had a sore throat off and on. It is a a major bummer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my allergies break soon. As usual, I'm linking up with Lauren! Anyway, here is what I loved about this week!

1. I picked up these BEAUTIFUL strawberries from a local Amish man. They are delicious, and need no sugar at all!

2. Did  you see my completed Summer Projects so far? I am loving the results! I have a few more areas I want to tackle, so I will make sure you see those too!

3. I am well aware that I have a slight obsession with lip products. They are my drug of choice.

4. Today is the first day this week where I woke up and it wasn't raining. Sunshine is always good to wake up to!

5. I am signed up for a 5k! I'm definitely walking it, but it should be a super fun time!!

What did you love about this week? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Summer Projects Before/After

Remember this post when I told you I needed to organize my life? Well, now that school is out I have done just that! The thing about these projects, is that they took me no more than 1-1.5 hours tops. I got rid of all kinds of junk that I wasn't using.

Sock Drawer:

This drawer was a mess! I had trouser socks thrown all throughout the drawer. I had multiple pairs of socks with holes in them. So I threw them away. I had back up pairs of socks, and trouser socks so I can add when these ones get holey. I also needed to save some space in my drawer, so I rolled my socks and tied them with a clear elastic. This way, I can stack them on top of one another and saved a lot of room! I also added my cubes for my wax warmer in a small basket, and I put my glasses in there as well.

Center Drawer:

This drawer is a mismash of things. Everything was a disheveled mess. I had lipsticks in there that I haven't used in years so I tossed them. I had manuals, and receipts in there that needed to be filed. I had multiple campaign buttons, when I only needed one of each. I have my good jewelry in their boxes and I couldn't find what I needed half the time. The way I tackled this mess was to literally dump everything out on my bed. Then I could see everything. I threw a ton of lipsticks away, and arranged the keepers in a basket standing up. I can see what they are now just by looking at them. My longer lipstains I kept in a small container. I put charging cables in a small zippered bag, and earrings in a small zippered bag. I arranged my jewelry so I can see what the boxes are and I know which one to grab.

I still have to complete my makeup area, and create a blog binder. Stay Tuned!

Also, I am well aware that I have a hoarding problem with lipsticks. I.Can't.Get.Enough.

All in all, these were long overdue for these drawers. It was a simple afternoon project, that made me feel accomplished. Why don't you tackle one of your summer projects on the next rainy day?

What projects do you need to tackle? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you!

June Ipsy Bag

My lovely Ipsy bag arrived in the mail the other day. I actually opened it in the car because I did not want to wait until I got home to see what was in my bag! This month was great, it was like the folks at Ipsy somehow got inside my brain and knew what I wanted to try! Here is what was in my bag!

The bag this month was designed by Rebecca Minkoff. I drool over her bags on her website. I will be able to afford one of those bags one day!

NYX| Butter Gloss-Eclair: I have wanted to try these glosses for SO long! I tried this, and it did not disappoint. It is so glossy, and I like the color. I definitely will be purchasing another one of these in a different color!

Be A Bombshell| Lash Out Mascara: I have not tried this, because I just got a Mally Mascara, but once I use that I will try this one. The brush is slightly tapered on one end to get those inner corner lashes.

DERMAdoctor| DD Cream: This sample will be nice because it has SPF 30. It is self adjusting to your skin tone. This is said to provide 15 healthy skin benefits.

Nicka K| Shimmer Eyeliner: This is a liquid eyeliner. The color is a beautiful green color. I will definitely be playing around with this, especially on my upper lash line!

Marc Anthony| Dream Waves Beach Spray: I absolutely cannot wait to try this! I was just thinking about picking up a salt spray at the store, but now I can try this to see if I like it or not! I have not tried this, but it smells amazing! I am thinking about using this and then putting my hair in spin pins and giving it some curl that way. I'll keep you updated!

As always, look for reviews on some of these products!

What did you get in your Ipsy bag this month? I'd love to hear from you, leave me a comment and let me know!

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

Today, I am switching things up and linking up with Shay, from Mix and Match Mama! Have you read her blog? Oh my goodness, every time I read her blog I have to wipe the drool from my mouth because all of the food looks so good! You should check out her family blog too. Her kiddos are just precious, and I love that they are a Christian family. On her blog today, we are sharing our favorite Summer desserts!

I mean, how good does this look?
I have two words for you...peanut butter and chocolate. Need I say more? I will, because this recipe is just TOO GOOD! I came across this recipe while clipping coupons. Look closely, there are some great recipes mixed in there! I present to you, Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie.

Crust Ingredients:

No stick cooking spray
1 package Martha White Chocolate Chip muffin mix
4 tablespoons butter softened
1/3 cup salted peanuts chopped (I have also left these out, and it is fine without them too)

Filling Ingredients:

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons milk
2 cups frozen whipped topping

1. Heat oven to 350*. Coat 9 in pie plate with cooking spray. Combine muffin mix, butter, and peanuts in a large bowl. Blend until crumble. Press evenly into bottom of pie plate and up the sides. Bake 13-16 minutes until set and light golden brown. If it bubbles up, just lightly press down with a spoon.

2. Cool crust.

3. Beat peanut butter, cream cheese, milk, and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium high until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spoon onto cooled crust. Drizzle with hot fudge, and extra peanuts. Chill 3-4 hours or until serving.

If there are any leftovers, make sure you store this covered in the fridge!

Now, for a quick variation! How good would this be with a pretzel crust? What if you made a chocolate ganache and poured over the pretzel crust, let that cool, and then place the filling on top? I mean, seriously!

I can't wait to read up on everyone else's recipes! If you link up, make sure to leave me a comment and let me know you did!

June Birchbox

The wonderful pink box arrived in my mailbox the other day! It is always a good day when beauty products arrive right?! Here is what I got in my box this month!

Davines|Shampoo, Conditioner, and All in One Milk: This system is supposed to make your hair softer, and tame frizz.
I swear the sun wasn't even out when I took this photo! Silly glare.

English Laundry| Signature for Her: This is a beautiful, yet different scent. Birchbox describes it as woodsy and floral, and I definitely agree. It is not overly floral, and definitely work appropriate.

Mally Beauty| Volumizing Mascara: So, so, so excited to try this!! My aunt has been using Mally mascara, and her lashes have been amazing! I am so excited to see how my lashes look after using this! Look for a review once I start using it! *This is full size!

Perlier| Shea Almond Body Cream: My skin has been looking a little less hydrated lately, so I need to use this cream. I rarely use lotion, but I will try this!

suki| Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser: This smells like lemons! This also is an exfoliant, so I will be using this to freshen up my skin, and regenerate my skin cells.

What did you get in your June Birchbox? Leave me a comment and let me know, I'd love to hear from you!

If you want to get a box of your own, you can sign up using my referral link!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Review

Shockingly, this took me a long time to try. I kept putting it in the corner because when I would get ready for work, I would grab my go to lip products. Now that I have tried it, this is a great lip product! The Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick goes on with a doe foot applicator, and dries to a matte finish. It feels like there is nothing on your lips, and is not tacky or sticky at all. I recieved this in the color Beso, and it is a true red.
Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

I put it on at 7:30 in the morning, and by 4:00 that afternoon, it was still on. It did start coming off around 7 pm, 12 hours after I had put it on. A little goes a long way with this lipstick! A tube should last forever! This liquid lipstick did not dry my lips out, and came off easily when I washed my face with an Equate Cleansing Cloth.

This retails on the Stila website for $22.

Have you ever tried this lipstick? What did you think of it? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you!

Weekend with the Amish

It was the yearly Amish Benefit auction on Saturday. This is otherwise known as Amish donut day! Man, those things are delicious! Since my mom and I go to the local produce and flower auction, we have gotten to know some of the Amish. So it was cool to see these Amish men waving to us, because we have been going to the auctions for so long.

Some of the big sellers on Saturday was a red wagon to pull your kiddos around in. It went for $425! Also, pocket watches were going for $175. As usual the flowers were gorgeous, and the food was delightful!

I took some pictures of the event to share with you!

These sweet boys were watching the quilts being auctioned.

Can you see why it is hard to only eat one of these? Goodness, these blow Dunkin and Krispy Kreme out of the water!

This quilt was absolutely beautiful! For the Amish being plain people, the work they do with quilts and flowers is colorful and beautiful! (I wish I would have known how much this sold for!)

I've said this before, but if you have Amish in your area, please support them! Not only is the quality ten times better than what you have in the store, but you might also make some friends, and get to see a completely different way of life!

Have you ever bought any Amish goods? What did you buy? I'd love to hear from you, leave me a comment and tell me!

High Five For Friday

It is Friday! Whoo!!! I'm linking up with Lauren, like I usually do! Here is what was great about this week!

1. Today is the last day of school. Even though I am a substitute, I had over 80 days this year, so the end of school means the end of my work time too! I've had some different experiences this the time I had to give PSSA's to 8th graders, even though I am only certified to teach K-6.

2. I actually started this blog on 90 degrees. It was heavenly. I'm sure I will be doing much more blogging like this during the Summer.

3. My neighbor that I used to babysit is graduating today! Oh goodness, I am old!

4. Next week, I am going to attempt to make my first white pizza. I will fill you in on the recipe if it is good!

5. Tomorrow is the yearly Amish benefit auction! I will be having a donut. #cheatmeal

How was your week? I'd love to know about it! Leave me a comment!

IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush Review

This was the item I swore I would never buy. A $20 lipstick. However, things change when you step foot in Ulta. Bad things happen, and you are buying things you didn't know you wanted. Okay, bad things don't happen in Ulta, unless you count your money saying goodbye as it leaves your wallet!   ;)

I have seen this product on QVC, and thought it was such a unique product every single time. The Vitality Lip Flush from IT Cosmetics in Je Ne Sais Quoi, is a super hydrating lip product. From IT Cosmetics: This truly innovative, yet all natural formula contains IT Cosmetics Hydra-Luxe™ Technology includes ingredients such as plum oil, cherry oil, shea butter, aloe and jojoba that all work together to treat,  hydrate, condition, and nourish your lips, minimizing the appearance of lip lines and wrinkles! Plus Vitality Lip Flush is packed with anti-aging anti-oxidants including Vitamins A, C, E, Acai, Green Tea and White Tea to protect and ward off free-radicals all day long. Talc, paraben, sulfate, mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, and phthalate free. Hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic. Made in the USA.

This product, while it looks clear, actually changes color on the lips based on your pH level. While I was in Ulta, four different people swatched this on their hands, and each person wound up with a different color. I have worn this numerous times, and haven't had the same color twice.

First of all, it feels like butter on the lips. It goes on so smoothly, and is so hydrating! It feels like you are wearing a lip balm instead of a lipstick. This gives me a nice sheer amount of color, and makes my lips glossy. Left behind the gloss is a slight stain. This product would be great for a "no makeup, makeup look." I have worn this when I didn't want the full look up lipstick, but wanted color on my lips. This works perfectly!

Have you ever tried the Vitality Lip Flushes from IT Cosmetics? What color is your favorite? Leave me a comment, and let me know! I'd love to hear from you!

What's in my Workout Bag?

I'm going to yoga today so I wanted to share with you what was in my workout bag!  My mom and I absolutely love it, and we are so relaxed afterwards. Plus, with our walking it is nice to stretch out our muscles.

Here is what is in my bag!
  •  Socks
  • Yoga mat (Mine is new!)
  • Wristlet (money, cards, phone *Not pictured)
  • Outfit
  • Lunchbox with water inside (*Not pictured)
  • Pink Cosmetic bag
Inside the small pink bag, I have a hair elastic, bobby pins, a Wet Ones wipe and a comb, and tinted lip balm.

This way, if I am out somewhere and am heading to yoga, I can quickly grab what I need to change and feel prepared for class!

My bag is just a tote bag I got from a store in Myrtle Beach called Del Sol. The front changes color in the sun! It does the job perfectly!

What types of items do you keep in your workout bag? I'd love to see your bags! Leave me a comment and let me know what your workout bag looks like!

What's on my Walls?

*As I am currently writing this, I am outside in 90 degrees in PA. It is glorious! (Although I am in the shade because I could not stand lying on my stomach to get a tan one more instant!)

Today, I am linking up with Andrea over at Momfessionals. I love reading her blog, and I know you will too!  I've linked up with her before for, What's on my Nightstand! Today though, I am going to show you my walls!

I am going to show you my bedroom walls, and the hallway leading into my bedroom. The living room is currently being remodeled, and we don't have many pictures up yet.

Leading into my bedroom is a picture I took of a rose that is planted outside our house. I absolutely LOVE this picture, and will probably always have it with me. Can you believe I used a simple point and shoot when I took this? Next up is my room!

When you first enter my bedroom, to your right is a picture that my mom made when she was younger. The rustic frame matches my bedroom walls perfectly, and I love the sentimentality of the picture.

Right above my nightstand, is a picture that my Grandma made. One year for Christmas, she gave all of her 10 grandkids a picture that she made, each fit to their personality and age! Such a special gift!

On my other wall, I have a picture of my dogs. Unfortunately, we only have one left from that picture. My mom randomly took that picture of them after they had run and were tired, and this was the result! If you couldn't tell, golden retrievers are my favorite breed of dog!

Lastly, I have my collage wall. This wall is full of a random mix of pictures. I have several Duke basketball players and myself. I also have my beach collage I made. My favorite photo of the set is my LOVE picture. My second favorite is the sun coming up over the ocean. It was definitely well worth getting up super early to watch!

So, those photos are what's hanging on my walls? I'd love to see what your walls look like! Leave me a comment and let me know!
