I ordered this eye primer when I ordered my other items from Birchbox. I usually have terrible luck with eye primers, and go in trying them with my expectations already low. So I was anxious to see how well this one did considering it was under $10. First of all, the packaging comes in a squeeze tube which I like. I can control how much I put on my lids. You get _oz, and you only need a small amount, so this will last quite a while. This primer doesn't feel slick on my lids. Some primers feel so slick, you wonder if they are going to keep your shadows in place. Not this one, it was slightly tacky so the shadows can stick to it. I believe that this primer is tinted slightly. It appears that way coming out of the tube, and I do notice it neutralizing some of the discoloration I have on my lids. I feel that this product works! This post is a review of a new favorite eyeshadow primer. I have been using this primer by The Balm, and love the consistency, and staying power. The Put A Lid On It primer has a silky texture. It is colorless. I apply a small amount of this on my eyelid, blending all the way to my brow bone. Then I apply my shadows. By using this primer, my shadows apply smoother and last longer. This also goes on clear, unlike some primers. The Balm always knocks it out of the park when it comes to packaging. I received a full size of this when I purchased my Meet Matte Nude palette. *I have oily eyelids. This doesn't give me all day wear, but it definitely helps them to last much longer than usual.* What are your favorite eyeshadow primers? Have your tried this one from The Balm? Before I begin to wear makeup I want to make sure I prime my face. So there is a new man in my life! Matt(e)! Obviously, my Matt(e) is of the eyeshadow variety. I got this full sized palette with my Birchbox points, and I am absolutely LOVING it! The Meet Matt(e) Nude palette from The Balm is a collection of 9 creamy, matte eyeshadows. The colors range from varying shades of browns, to a grey/purple, to a flesh toned color. This kit also came with a full sized Put A Lid On It primer. The Balm has amazing packaging, and I am huge fan of their products. This palette is adding to my already deep love of The Balm. I mean, how cute is that each shadow is named after a different Matt? Major props to their creative department, because they knock it out of the park!
