How We...Fall

Today I'm linking up with Shay and Erika to discuss how we do Fall. I really enjoy fall. I love the cooler temperatures, the leaves turning their beautiful color, the gorgeous fall clothes, and Fall always ushers in the start of the holiday season. Here is how I do Fall! Fall always means cooler weather, so I love to make soup! My favorite is broccoli cheddar, and I love to make it in the crock pot so it is one less thing to worry about! Found the cute football platters at Aldi's! I also love going to some college football games and tailgating! Or, I just like to watch the games at home and eating all the appetizer food! My mom made this!  Fall also means heading up North and going to a wine festival near Erie, PA. It is absolutely beautiful country up there, and the different wineries are so unique. Of course Fall means all the beautiful decorations, and fall festivals! The sports fan in me always hope my Cleveland Indians are playing October bas...

Fall Festivals

Every weekend in October Freedom Farms is hosting a Fall Festival. If you are local, I highly suggest you check it out! Freedom Farms is a family run farm that was featured on the GAC series Farm Kings. I went to their festival a few years ago, and they have continued to expand it since then! If you go, make sure to tell me about it in the comments! I can't wait to see the fun you had!

Fall is Here

How beautiful is this image? Usually once school starts back up again, I am ready for Fall. Mother Nature has a different story usually, and we get some of our hottest weather in September. Lately, there has been a chill in the air, and I love being able to wear my leopard, and break out my darker lipsticks and nail polishes. There is something about being able to bake warm apple cinnamon bread, and cozy up to warm apple cider or hot tea. Not to mention, the beauty of the leaves changing is something pretty special as well. Today, I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite Fall things. Although I have blogged about these before, I wanted to share them again because they are worth repeating. I can't wait to try this recipe again! It was so good, and warm and comforting.  I can't wait to get more apples to make it! I have already placed an apple and cinnamon wax cube into my wax warmer. Some of my favorite Fall scents can be found here ! Anything with pumpkins, app...

Hello and a Linkup

Hello! Do you remember me and this blog?! I have neglected it for far too long. I will share what I've been doing since my last post throughout this week, but I wanted to begin my Monday with a fun linkup. Fall is here, and it is one of my most favorite times of the year. I love the days where a light vest or jacket is all you need. The leaves begin to change, and there is a crisp coolness in the air. Today, I am linking up with Andrea to show you some of my favorite scarves! *I am telling you about scarves I own, but the pictures will be found online.* Mine is similar The first scarf that I get the most wear out of is my leopard scarf. I love, love, love a leopard scarf! You can wear a leopard scarf with just about anything and it instantly dresses up an outfit. In the Fall, I love pairing this with olive greens, or deep burgundy tones. My scarf is lightweight chiffon, and is perfect for any season! My next scarf that I love is my Burberry scarf . Now, I can't affo...

If you missed part 1 of my Fall Dreams you can click here! Today, I am going to be showing you some of the food that I am interested in making this coming season. I found most of these images on Pinterest, and you can follow my boards here ! Let's start with dessert shall we? Image I highly suggest you check out Mix and Match Mama. I spotted these on there, and I hit save immediately. I am thinking I might make these for Thanksgiving dinner! (Especially since my dad's birthday falls on it this year!)  Image If I ever host a Harvest Party like I want to, I plan on making this drink! Warm apple cider, plus caramel vodka will make this taste like you bit into a caramel apple! (duh!) Plus, I think that I could definitely keep this warm in the crockpot! Image I have wanted to try making this recipe ever since I pinned it. It looks so simple and delicious. Plus, it is made in the crockpot, so while you are picking apples and pumpkins, it is ready for you w...

Fall Dreams

Now that Fall is officially here (okay, not "officially" but the PSL is out and that usually signals Fall!) I have been dreaming of cooler temps, high boots, and warm comforting food. I found these images on Pinterest. You can follow my boards here ! Here are a few Fall items that I can't wait to recreate! Image  I love that I can recreate this look. I have these same pieces, so I am definitely trying it! Image I like both the cut and color of this hairstyle.  Image I love this hair color! It is so pretty and is definitely something I would do to my hair! Stay tuned for a second part detailing my Fall food wishlist! How do you change your look for Fall? Leave me a comment and let me know! I'd love to hear from you!

Apple Cider Bread Pudding Recipe

Doesn't the Fall weather just scream apples and bread pudding? I've never been a huge fan of bread pudding, probably because I am not a huge fan of custard. But this sounded delicious, and we had copious amounts of bread leftover from a party we cooked for. I found this recipe on Pinterest , of course! Here's the recipe: 8 cups bread cubed 2 medium apples, cored and cubed 1/2 cup raisins 4 large eggs 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground allspice 1/4 tsp freshly ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp ground cardamom 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp salt 3 cups milk 1 cup apple cider Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. In a very large bowl, combine bread cubes, apple cubes and raisins. In another large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar and all spices until well combined. Wish in milk and apple cider, then pour mixture over the bread cubes. Toss gently with a spatula until cubes are evenly coated. Let stand for 15 minutes. Pou...

Fixing Fragile Hair

I went to the hairdresser yesterday and got my color updated for Fall. I was pretty blonde from the Summer, but my roots were growing in. So she low-lighted my hair with a beautiful mocha color, while still keeping some of my blonde from Summer. It will grow in nicely, and I won't have noticeable roots. I LOVE how it turned out! As far as the cut goes, she added in some layers and gave my hair some shape. Since I have "thinner" hair she said that my side pieces are a little fragile from the color. So I am going to try and baby them if I can. I am going to try a couple of products that should make my hair more healthy. One product I will be using is my Argan Magic oil. I already use this every day, but I will concentrate it a little more on my sides. Also, I am thinking about using my uniqueONE leave in hair mask that I got in my Birchbox only on my side pieces. About once a week I will use a hair mask in the shower that I will put all over my hair. I have been loving t...

Changing your look for Fall

Image found here Today, I'd love to hear your opinions on how you change your look for Fall. Here are some changes I plan on making! 1. Darkening my hair: My roots y'all! They are looking pretty sad. I haven't decided exactly what color I want to be yet. I'm sure that after a good talk with my stylist she will be able to help me out! I am also planning on growing out my bangs. I have had them for a while now and it is time for a change. 2. Deepening my lipstick: Now, I am a firm believer that I can wear hot pink lipstick in any season, but I love to darken my lipsticks for Fall! I love cranberry colors, and dark reds to wear with a more neutral eye. 3. Darker nail colors: You can find my favorites for Fall here! What are you going to do to change your look for Fall? I'd love to hear from you! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Things I Need In My Life

Need is a tricky word there. I don't need these things, I would like to have them, but I'm not going to throw a tantrum if I don't get them. Any way, here is what I am coveting lately.  I really want a leopard print blouse. Animal prints are so chic, and can be worn with anything. Can you imagine this blouse with some awesome red pants?  I love cowl neck sweaters. Turtlenecks make you feel closed in, but cowl necks give  you warmth, yet you don't feel like you are in a neck brace! Image found here.  I want an entire outfit that looks like this. Minus the boots, because I already have grey boots. That sweater would keep you so warm on a fall/winter day. The grey is neutral so you can add a cool colored bracelet. It is just an amazing look! Image found here .  I really want to try these Jordana Twist and Shine Balm Stains. As usual, it is a lipstick and therefore I am drawn to it. What items are you coveting for fall? As always, I'd love to hear fr...
