Last Tuesday, I went to hear Celtic Thunder! They were playing with the Pittsburgh Symphony for their Christmas show. It was a lovely evening, and Heinz Hall is decorated beautifully for Christmas. The lads were in perfect form, and it was a great jump start to the holiday season. I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the concert, but I did snap a picture of my outfit before I left! It's Wednesday, so I am linking up with the Pleated Poppy! I went a little dressier to this event, because the concert was in a fancier location! My dress is from Forever and I wore my DIY scarf! You can find out how I made it here ! My boots were from Fashion Bug, and they are surprisingly comfortable! I just grabbed some plain black tights to complete the look! This look was perfect for the evening. It was a chilly night, and this look was warm and dressy. I was plenty warm walking from our parking spot to Heinz Hall. If you ever get a chance to go to Pittsburgh at Christmas, definitely do so...

I can't even begin to explain the awesomeness that was the Celtic Thunder concert last night. It was beyond anything in my wildest dreams! Every song that came on I said, "oh I love this song!" They did a mix of singing and talking, they wore their kilts, and came back for an encore. I loved it so much, that I am thinking about going to another show that is close to my area. I'm tempted I tell you! Technically, the ticket price is 1 day of subbing. I think I can swing it. ;) I kept my outfit pretty simple. I wore my black dressy bermuda shorts that I got from JC Penney. My black tank I got from Wal-Mart, and my green shirt is from Khols. I thought it complemented the Irish green perfectly. I kept my shoes simple and wore some simple black open toe heels. (It was 82 degrees outside!) My jewelry was a jade necklace and earrings that was a gift from my aunt and uncle. For my makeup, I used my Mary Kay mineral foundation, Physicians Formula blush, and the Naked 2 ...

I had first found this scarf on Pinterest , and immediately thought, "I can do that!" So with some careful planning, and the right tools, I did. I knew I wanted to make a scarf with my favorite Celtic Thunder lyrics on it. I got the lyrics in the right order so now it was time for materials. I went to Wal-Mart and scored this plain green scarf for $5. A quick trip to Michael's for a Tulip broadtip fabric marker, and I was good to go. I think this whole project cost me less than $10. Score! The whole completed scarf First, I washed the scarf. That way I had a clean surface to begin with. Then I set up my ironing board. I used a yardstick and drew a straight line across the scarf with chalk. I shook my marker well and began writing. *I chose to write in cursive, because I think I write neater that way but you can choose* When I reached the end of the line, I waited a a minute or two, and then drew another line with chalk evenly spaced from the first line. They are airing Mythology , and you can pledge to get tickets to the concert in your area, and the DVD and CDs of the show! If you're lucky, the lads might be in your area promoting the show! I know my local PBS station is airing it all week this week. If you don't have PBS but still want to watch the show, you can order it here at Celtic Thunder and pick up a copy. I can tell the lads are all so excited about it, and I know I am! I just wanted to give you a heads up so you can check it out for yourselves! I figured I'd let you in on the Celtic Thunder tour dates if any one was interested. I just learned of the dates tonight. I know which one I am going to!
