Yesterday, a sad and tragic event occurred in Boston. It's hard to imagine what the people there are thinking and feeling at this time. I was still a youngster (7th grade) when September 11 happened, and I remember coming home from school being scared. As a teacher I've been through fire drills, tornado drills, and safety drills for intruders. I know that these drills scare some of the younger kids, and maybe some older ones too. I'll admit, my heart beats a little faster during these drills as well. Some kiddos might be scared after seeing or hearing about the events of yesterday on TV.
