Empties

I have collected this set of trash for a while now. Mainly, they are my necessity products, and products I have and will repurchase. I have broken this down into categories, so, let's dig through my trash!

Hair:

Suave Touchable Finish is a great affordable hairspray. It does not leave your hair crunchy, and holds your style well. I am going to repurchase this, but my Wal-Mart was out of this hairspray so I had to get a different brand.

Rock Your Hair root lifter, was a great find for me! This can lasted FOREVER, and did not make my hair greasy at all. It gave me volume at the crown, which is what I am after. I probably will repurchase this, after I use some other products.

Bain de Terre conditioner, is a thin conditioner that did an exceptional job of making my hair manageable. It did not make my hair flat, or extra greasy. I probably won't repurchase this, because I currently like the conditioner I am using now.

Face:

I LOVE these Equate Cleansing Cloths, and will not be without them. I still have a few left, but these are going in this post anyway. I use these when I have a full face of makeup on, and this melts that right off. I will most certainly be repurchasing these!

LA Fresh Face Cloths were great for taking my eye makeup off, but I don't use them to take my regular makeup off. I probably won't repurchase these.

Makeup:

The ELF eyelid primer is a primer that I have, and will continue to repurchase. This does make my eyeshadow last. (Not all day, as I have oily lids) It goes on smoothly, and a tube will last a long time. Plus, it is only $1!!!

I received this sample of Dr. Lipp nipple balm for lips in a Birchbox. I do not like this product. It is too thick, and goes on your lips very rough. I will not be purchasing the full size.

This was another Birchbox sample, the Naked Princess in Naked Shine was the wrong color for me. It was way too light. The consistency was thick, so I won't be repurchasing this.

Misc.

I am a contact lens wearer, so solution is a must for me. I really like the Equate Multi-Purpose Solution. It does a good job of cleaning my contacts, and does not irritate my eyes. I always buy the 2 pack, and I have repurchased this many times!

So thanks for digging through my trash with me! What does your beauty product trash look like? I'd love to hear from you, leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
