Christmas Outfits

I wanted to share with you a roundup of the Christmas outfits I wore this past week to work, and out and about. Now you know my theory on outfit of the day ideas. I will tell you where I got the items that I remember, but they are probably out of stock. Remember, I want to give you inspiration, not the exact pieces.

Monday, I had a couple of doctors appointments so I wanted to wear something comfy, but still festive. I wore my buffalo plaid flannel. I cannot get enough buffalo plaid this time of year! I paired it with a black tank, jeans, and black booties.

Flannel: Old Navy
Jeans: Sam’s Club
Tank: Wal-Mart
Booties: Dillard’s

Here is a similar one from Amazon!

Tuesday, I wore my Fa La La shirt/tunic. Fun fact about this tunic-it is actually a sleep shirt! You’d never know right?! I wanted to be comfy, so I paired it with black leggings and black low booties.

Tunic: Lane Bryant
Leggings: Lane Bryant
Booties: K-Mart

Wednesday, I wore all the bling. This top is one of my absolute favorites. I think I’ve worn it for the past 3 years multiple times. I paired it with dark denim jeans, and black booties.

Here is one I found that is similar on Amazon!

Friday was the final day before Christmas break. We had a half day, so we could go “all out” as far as the outfit is concerned. This shirt could not be more true for me. Haha! I like my sleep, what can I say? This shirt was gifted to me by my parents for my birthday. It even came with the fancy headband.  Like I said, it was a half day and all bets were off. Full on survival mode folks.

Top: Wal-Mart
Jeans: Sam’s Club
Booties: Dillards

I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my Christmas outfits. P.S. I’ll still be wearing some of these until the new year! Enjoy!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

What about you? How was your week? Leave me a comment , I'd love to hear from you!

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
