My Favorite Long-wearing Products

The holiday’s have everyone up early, and up late. I wanted to share with you my favorite long wearing products that will help your makeup stay put from morning until night.

The first product is a long lasting eyebrow product. Before I get started, I am probably the last one to try this product, but I have been loving it! The Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is such a great long wearing product.  I was skeptical at first because of having to use a brush to get it on. I like my makeup routine to be simple, and the thought of having to use a brush just screamed time sucker. However, I was wrong. I can put this on at 6:00 in the morning and my brows will still be looking great at 7:00 that evening. My shade is the Taupe shade, and it is also the same shade I use in the ABH Brow Definer.

The next product I want to share is an eyeshadow product. The Mally Eyeshadow Stick Extra is a fantastic longwearing product. I applied it at 5:45 in the morning, and it did crease on me, but I can’t say at what hour it began to crease. I do have oily eyelids, but I used these without primer, and they last just a touch longer than powder eyeshadow. I will  say this though, I swatched these on my hand they did not budge. My Ulta was out of them, so I ordered a set from QVC. So simple, just swipe, blend and go. I also can add some powder eyeshadow on top to define my crease and outer corner, and it can bring the whole look together.

You readers know about my lip obsession. The Stila Stay All Day liquid lipstick is absolutely fantastic. These definitely last me all day and even while I am eating or drinking. While they are a touch drying, it is nothing a night of my favorite lip balm can’t fix. The bonus? They last you forever because you don’t need to reapply all the time. Another bonus is that the shade range is incredible, they will have a color just for you!

One last tip, I have found that curling my hair with a wand helps my hair to hold the curl better. I don’t know why, but it just does for me. That’s a huge help when you are doing all of the Christmas things! I recently bought this set from Costco, and I have been thoroughly impressed with it.

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (we li

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar
