Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Review

This was one of those products that I was skeptical about trying. I am so glad I received this in my Ipsy bag because I really enjoy using this product! I received the Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow in Barely Nude. (whew!)

From the Ulta Website:

Benefits:
  • 12-hour long-wearing color
  • Supercharged primer
  • Powerful brightening benefits
  • Smoothes the appearance of fine lines
  • Protects with Broad Spectrum SPF 15

This product has a doe foot applicator and goes on very smoothly. All you need is a swipe or two and your lids are set. I use a primer with this, and it does seem to last quite a while on me. The color is a taupey brown, and has a slight glitter. Just enough glitter to give some sheen, not anything gritty.

I have used this product when I am in a hurry to get ready. I feel that this can be a "one stop shop" when it comes to doing my eye makeup. I apply a primer to my lids first. Then all I need is a swipe or two of this cream eyeshadow. I blend it in using my fingers. Then I sweep a matte flesh tone eyeshadow from my browbone to my crease to pull everything together. I add eyeliner, curl my lashes, mascara and I am out the door!

This takes no time at all, and I like how this looks. Would I repurchase this? Good question. It is $18. I'm not sure that I would be willing to spend that much on a single eyeshadow product. I am never saying never though!

Have you ever tried this product? What were your thoughts? I'd love to hear from you! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
