May Birchbox

It is time for Makeup Mail Call! This time I am coming at you with my May Birchbox! Birchbox keeps stepping it up with their boxes. They are so beautiful, I don't want to throw them away!! This month, I received some great items! May's box was curated by Emily Schuman from Cupcakes and Cashmere. She did a great job at picking out products this month! Here is what was in my box!

Beauty Protector| Beauty Wash Body Cleanser: I was so happy I received this! Beauty Protector's products smell amazing, and I've always wished I could bathe in it. Now, I can! This is a gel cleanser, and has their signature scent. I cannot wait to use this!

Coastal Scents|Revealed 3 Eyeshadow Quad: This quad is a mix of colors from a matte brown to a gold shimmer. These are only four colors of the new palette.

Harvey Prince| Sea Salt Texturizing Mist: Again, I am so glad I received this! I love anything to do with Harvey Prince, and this is no exception. fHere's how I plan on using this! I envision this being used on second day hair. It already has some natural texture from the day before. Plus your hair has that smell from the day before. This will give my hair life, and make it smell great!

Vasanti Cosmetics| BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator: This is said to mimic the effects of microdermabrasion. I have been having some skin issues lately, so I am going to wait until that clears up, and try this out! I definitely want glowing skin without having to spend the time, and money at a spa!

Yu-Be|Moisturizing Skin Cream: The best part about this cream is you can use it everywhere! From your feet to your lips! This will be great for dry Summer skin!

What did you get in your May box? I'd love to hear about it! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

In the past what, 4 years since the last post, I have learned a lot, and have a lot to share! So if you'll bear with me, I'd love to share some fun tips and tricks and recipes with you here on this little space on the internet.  I will give you a little reintroduction of myself.  I'm Mandii. I'm a small town girl full of random information. Sports facts, check. Fashion tips, oh yeah, I've got those a plenty! Recipes? You're speaking my language. I love all things faith, family, fashion, sports, and food related. Which is exactly what you will find on this space. I love to travel even though I don't do it nearly enough.  I don't know if I am going to commit to a full 5 days on here yet. I'll play it by ear, and if you'll stick with me, I think we can do some great things here!  I...

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar...
