July Ipsy Bag

Sorry about the lack of a post yesterday everyone! I had to take my dog to the vet, because he has been diagnosed with Lymes Disease. He's doing well though!

On to this month's Ipsy bag! I thought this bag would never come, it felt like the shipping was really slow this time. *Note: the names for these items are ridiculously long. You've been warned.  ;)    Here are the goodies I recieved!

Models Own Nail Polish- This color is a light red color with chunky holographic glitter. This would look pretty as an accent nail!

Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil- I like that this has an SPF of 8. (I know I should use a higher SPF, I knnooww.) This says that it is non-greasy, and I LOVE that in a tanning lotion. I will definitely let you know how I like this in a review.

Lord & Berry Black Silk Kajal Kohl Eyeliner- Honestly, I need another black eyeliner like I need a hole in the head, so this is going in a "give to friends" basket.

Bare Minerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow- 1. Long Wear Color 2. Prime 3. Brighten 4. Smooth 5. Protect. These items listed are what this shadow is said to do. I will do a review on this item once I use it more. The color I received is a pretty taupe/brown!

Clear Clinic Vanished Acne Spot Treatment- Heaven only knows how I have needed this the past few days! I love that this has a doe foot applicator to apply a concentrated amount of the treatment. There will be a review on this once I have used it for a while!

I also need to gush about the bag for a minute. This has been my favorite bag to date. First of all, it is hot pink. Second, it is pleather. Thirdly, how stinking adorable are those scalloped edges? I cannot get over the cuteness!

So what did you get in your Ipsy bag this month? I'd love to hear from you! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
