July Birchbox

The wonderful pink box made its way to my mailbox again! I love getting these little surprises in the mail! I tried to not peek this month, as I usually do! This month was a pretty great month, with a wide variety of products. Birchbox collaborated with Women's Health, and gave us a subscription to the magazine in this box! Especially ones that I will be using for the remaining summer months! Here is what was in my box!

Number 4 Hair care- Super Comb and Prep and Protect: This is a leave in conditioner that will repair your hair, and also offers UV protection. This would be great going to the beach to offer protection from the sun and waves! I can't wait to use this!

Balance Me-Wonder Eye Cream: This is said to reduce the appearance of fine lines, and wrinkles. I have noticed that I need to start using an eye cream. Sigh.

Real Chemistry-Luminous 3 Minute Peel: I have never tried a peel before, so I am definitely excited to try this!

100% Pure- Honey Cream Wash Gingerade: These sample packets would be good for traveling. I'm interested in the scent.

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette: This sample got me the most excited! I love eyeshadow, and these colors are pretty neutral with shimmer. I am excited to use this and see what looks I can come up with!

What did you get in your Birchbox? I'd love to hear from you! Leave me a comment an
d let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
