Thanksgiving Recap

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving, and have ushered in the holiday season in grand fashion. It seems so strange that Thanksgiving has passed and we are on our way to Christmas. This season is definitely my all time favorite. I love the magic that this season brings. Did anyone score any good deals for Black Friday? I'm more of a cyber Monday kind of gal, so I am probably doing that as you read this right now!

I will probably split this into two posts, because while I was busy during the break, I also just relaxed a lot too. Here is how I spent part of my Thanksgiving break. Here was my Tuesday before Thanksgiving!

My parents and I have a tradition of going to Kraynaks. I've spoken about this store before, but during Christmas and Easter they have a section of their store decorated with trees, and other seasonal items, and you can walk through and look at them. They also have Santa and the Easter bunny there and you can get your picture with them as well. My parents and I grabbed a bite to eat at Pizza Hut (our traditional stop!), and we made our way to Christmas Lane! Luckily we hit it just right and it wasn't that busy. Sometimes when you go there the line is out the door! After we left Kraynaks we rushed to Daffin's candy, and grabbed a box of chocolate for the three of us. It is so good!

When we got home we turned on Hallmark channel, because I mean their movies can't be beat! I am so far behind on the movies on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. The Countdown to Christmas app is a lifesaver!

Stop back on Wednesday to see how the rest of my break went!

P.S. Leave me a comment with some of your best Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals!!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (we li

I'll play it by ear, and if you'll stick with me, I think we can do some great things here!  I&

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar
