Favorite Sports Teams

I'm a lover of all things sports. 75% of the time my TV is set to ESPN. I'll watch anything, however my heart lies with basketball. Here's a list of my favorite sports teams.

The Mecca of college basketball!
Duke University Men's Basketball-What do I say? I am 100% obsessed with them. I've been blessed to be able to attend 2 games and Countdown to Craziness. I'm not going to lie, the first time I left Duke after an incredible weekend, I cried. (Tears of happiness people!) I never miss a game, never get up when a game is going on, and have more Duke gear then that of my own college. I am going to do a separate post on my love of Duke and throw a lot of pictures up on here. Stick around for that post!

This was my first time in the Pens new "rink."
Pittsburgh Penguins-Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, James Neal. Need I say more? The Pens are such a classy organization and one of the most popular in the NHL.

Boston Celtics-My dad has been a longtime Celtics fan, and I have followed suit. I wish I was able to remember Larry Bird playing because I've watched a lot of documentaries on his playing and he was one of the best. Right now, I love how Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are leaders of the team while Rajon Rondo is out with an ACL injury.

Like I said, I will watch any sports that are on my TV. If you are a sports fan and haven't checked these teams out, you should. All of them are classy organizations and leaders in their respective sport.

Thanks for checking this out!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
