Motivation Monday: Worry

Have you ever heard, or saw a quote or saying and it was just what you needed at that specific moment? I have had that happen several times, and it is always a comfort. To me, it is like God saying, "I'm here." I was out shopping the other night, and had such an occurrence. I was walking through an aisle that had a plethora of signs. One in particular caught my attention, and I just stopped, and read it several times.

"Don't worry about tomorrow, God is already there."

I always get amazed with God's creation as I look out into the ocean.
Wow! How profound and perfect is that? How many times have you worried about tomorrow? I have!

Have you worried about what will happen in your job? What about waiting for a test from a doctor to come back? Worrying if you will have enough money to pay the bills.

The beauty of this saying is, that God is telling us not to worry. He has our days planned out for us already. Hard times and good times. Don't worry, you are held in the palm of God's hand and he is directing your path. This isn't saying that you won't have rough times. You will be tested, but don't worry, with God on your side you can get through any trial you may face.

I know that any time I have started to worry about what will happen tomorrow, I just keep saying this quote over and over. It gives me peace in my soul, and lets me know God is in control.

I hope that this has given you peace for today. Leave me a comment and let me know how this quote has helped you today.

I am going to be posting my favorite Bible verses or quotes on Monday's as a part of a new Motivation Monday series I am starting. Hope they bless you as much as they bless me.

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar...
