October Birchbox

When I got back from vacation, the first thing I wanted to do was open this little pink box. I bypassed all of my other mail, and opened this first. #Priorities. This month was a great month, lots of products I need, and will use for sure! Here is what was in my box!

The theme this month was Fanfare. So, they want to know what your favorite TV shows, music, movies are. For me, it is Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and How to Get Away with Murder. Plus, now that hockey has started, college basketball is starting, and college football is underway Mandii is definitely happy!

Dr. Brandt| Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner: I SO needed this! Coming home from the beach, my pores are clogged from putting sunscreen on multiple times a day. I cannot wait to use this and clean out my pores!

Essentiel Elements| Wake Up Rosemary Shower Gel: This smells delicious! There is a perfect blend of rosemary and mint that will wake you up and get you ready for the day. Another bonus, I think the packaging is adorable!

Harvey Prince|Petaly Noir: You all know that I am a HUGE fan of Harvey Prince fragrances. I can already tell that this is going to be added to my list of fragrances from Harvey Prince that I will want to buy.

Mally|High Shine Liquid Lipstick: I was able to choose this as my sample choice, and it is a beautiful color! It is a gorgeous pink that is wearable in the fall and winter. You know I love a lip product!

ModelCo| Powerlash High Impact Black Mascara: I have liked the products I have received from ModelCo in the past, and I can't wait to try this mascara! It is said to add length and volume to your lashes. I like the sound of that!

So that was my box! What did you get in yours? What TV shows are you watching this Fall? I'd love to hear from you, leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

It's Been Awhile...

Hi! Do you remember me and this little blog? I've been thinking about starting this blog back up again, and I am just going to jump in with both feet and go for it! In the past what, 4 years since the last post, I have learned a lot, and have a lot to share! So if you'll bear with me, I'd love to share some fun tips and tricks and recipes with you here on this little space on the internet.  I will give you a little reintroduction of myself.  I'm Mandii. I love all things faith, family, fashion, sports, and food related. Which is exactly what you will find on this space. I love to travel even though I don't do it nearly enough.  I don't know if I am going to commit to a full 5 days on here yet. I'll play it by ear, and if you'll stick with me, I think we can do some great things here!  I...

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar...
