Dunkin Donuts Cold Brew Review

Let's face it, coffee is essential. I prefer to drink my coffee lazily in the afternoon, or on a slow morning. I'm also really lucky because there is a Dunkin Donuts about 30 seconds from where I work. I prefer iced coffee, and always tried to make it at home. Huge disappointment. It just never turned out right.

I saw that Dunkin was sending out samples of their Cold Brew packs to try, so I signed up to get one. First of all, this could not be easier to use. All you have to do is get a pitcher and fill it with 3 cups of water. Then you put two of the cold brew packs in the pitcher and let it steep overnight. In the morning, take the bags out, and add one more cup of water. That's it!

Friends let me tell you, this was the most delicious tasting iced coffee! I made mine with some vanilla syrup, cream, and ice in my tumbler. It tasted like I had just come from Dunkin! So, so good! These Cold Brew packs must be popular, because every time I go to my local Wal-Mart, they are always sold out!

I drink iced coffee until the snow flies, so we are still in the season! If I can ever get my hands on another pack of these, you bet I'll be making my own to have on hand when I don't make a Dunkin' run!

How do you like your coffee? Let me know!

*I signed up for this free sample on my own. Dunkin' Donuts has no clue who I am, and this post is not sponsored in any way.*

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Vegetable Lasagna Recipe

I made this lasagna recipe, and I think my grandma declared it the best thing she's ever eaten. She kept going back to the dish, and cutting off a small slice. Each time she would say, "This is so good!" So, if only she liked it, my day was made. However, every member of my family loved this dish, and I know you will too! It is a perfect way to use up Summer vegetables, and enjoy a delicious meal! My comments are in italics!
