The Easiest Sticky Buns EVER!

Without a doubt, I’m a breakfast person. I love to make quiches, and casseroles. I think these sticky buns would be a huge hit at a breakfast at church, or a brunch baby or bridal shower. They are seriously so easy!

Ingredients:

3/4 Cup brown sugar
1/4 Cup honey
1/8 Cup butter (that’s half of a 1/4 for all you math illiterates like me!)
1/2 Cup chopped pecans
1 tube of refrigerator biscuits (I like the buttermilk kind!)

Directions:

In a saucepan mix brown sugar, honey, and butter until melted and combined. Place mixture in an 8 inch greased round pan. Sprinkle pecans on top. Arrange biscuits on top of mixture. *You should have 1 biscuit left over, I just break it up and put it in any gaps between the biscuits.* Bake at 350* for 13-17 minutes. Here’s where the tricky part comes in: when it comes out of the oven let it sit for a minute or two, then you need to flip it on a large platter so the honey and pecan mixture can be on top. Don’t worry, my heart stops a little every time I have to do it.

Eat warm with a little butter on top, or nothing at all. See what I mean? So easy!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
