Easy Breezy Face Look

On a whim one day I decided to try this look. I wasn't having the best skin day and wanted to cover up when I was going out. (I usually go face makeup free when I'm not working.) I was pleasantly surprised how well this looked, and how fast it was! I've worn it several times after that day, and wanted to share it with you!

The Makeup:

DermaDoctor DD cream
Stainiac by The Balm
Shimmer bronzer by Model Co.
Mineral Veil by Bare Minerals

What I did was smooth the DD cream all over my face. I made sure to blend it in really well. The DermaDoctor's DD cream is self adjusting, so it adapts to your skin tone. Then I used my kabuki brush, and rubbed that all over my face. This still had some powder foundation on it, so this just continued to even out my face. I didn't even have to get out my powder foundation! Then, I grabbed a fluffy brush and put the shimmer bronzer on. I put it on in a "3" shape on the side of my face. Next, I applied the Stainiac to the apples of my cheeks, and blended that in. I love this because it is a stain, and lasted all day! Then I used the same fluffy brush I used to apply my bronzer, and applied a thin coating of mineral veil to set everything and make the finish flawless.

Honestly, this look took me less than 7 minutes. It lasted all day, I didn't get oily, and I felt great about my skin when I was having a less than perfect day.

Do you have an easy face look that you can apply? What products does it include? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
