Stila In the Know Eyeshadow Palette Review

I have had an obsession with matte shadows ever since I ordered my Meet Matt(e) Nude palette from Birchbox last year. I love how they look on my eyes, I love how they stay, and I love how they blend. So when I saw this palette from Stila, featuring 10 all matte shadows, it immediately went in my cart on Birchbox.com!

The In the Know palette came with 10 shadows, a Stila smudge stick in Halfmoon, and a lookbook with different styles to try out. I love the smudge stick, because it is definitely waterproof, and lasts all day! The lookbook is great because I like to see how other people put the colors together.

These shadows are a warm tone with rich browns, a firery orange, and warm rose tones. They all have a desert theme with the names.

Air: Off white in color

Wind: Nude-y beige

Desert: Peachy nude

Clay: Pink nude

Earth: Rick dark brown

Driftwood: Warm brown

Fire: Orange

Rain: Taupe

Smoke: Cool grey

Ebony: Matte black

These shadows blend beautifully, and I love that these are a bit warmer. I like that some of them are close to my skin tone because I tend to like a light lid with a darker crease. I also like that I can use this in conjunction with my Meet Matt(e) Nude palette.

I like matte shadows for every day use because it looks professional and put together. I save my metallics for nights out or special occasions. This palette is great for fall, and I absolutely cannot wait to use Fire! It seriously looks like the orange leaves in the Fall season.

You can buy this palette from Stila or Birchbox!

So have you tried this palette? Do you like matte eyeshadows? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (we li

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar
