January Birchbox

I feel like after Christmas, and all the presents have been opened I feel a little bit sad. But not to fear, my January Birchbox is here! I say this all the time, but receiving makeup products in the mail is just the best! Here is what was in my box this month!

The theme was Let's Do This! I love this, because I am still staying on track with my New Year's Resolutions!

Dr. Jart+|Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45: I love this for days where I have a few errands to run, and am having a bad skin day. All I'll need is some blush and eye makeup and I'll be out the door.

Essentiel Elements|Wake Up Rosemary Body Lotion: I received the shower gel a few boxes ago, and I loved how this smelled. I haven't used the gel yet, so I like having a gel and lotion to go hand in hand with one another.

Mirenesse|Mattfinity Cream Lip Stain: You know how much I love lip products. This color will be great to wear to school because it is a stain and I don't have to keep reapplying!

Number 4 Hair Care|Non-Aerosol Hairspray: I love Number 4 products, so I am excited to try this hairspray. I love travel size sprays because they fit great in my purse or teacher bag!

When| Travelmate Sheet Mask: I really need to apply masks more often. I have not tried a paper mask, and have several to try. I think paper masks are great for travel, and are not messy at all! This one is on the list to try!

What was in your box this month? I can't wait to read all about it! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (we li

In the past what, 4 years since the last post, I have learned a lot, and have a lot to share! So if you'll bear with me, I'd love to share some fun tips and tricks and recipes with you here on this little space on the internet.  I will give you a little reintroduction of myself.  I'm Mandii. I'm a small town girl full of random information. Sports facts, check. Fashion tips, oh yeah, I've got those a plenty! Recipes? You're speaking my language. I love all things faith, family, fashion, sports, and food related. Which is exactly what you will find on this space. I love to travel even though I don't do it nearly enough.  I don't know if I am going to commit to a full 5 days on here yet. I'll play it by ear, and if you'll stick with me, I think we can do some great things here!  I&

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar
