WIWW: Channeling Spring Edition

Raise your hand if you are ready for Spring!! In the last few weeks we have had 4 two hour delays because of cold Arctic air. I think at one point it was warmer in Alaska than Pennsylvania. Something is definitely wrong with that picture! So for my outfit, I was channeling Spring. **It is finally starting to get warmer now!! It was 50 yesterday!!

This sweater is a beautiful mint color, and is three quarter sleeves. It is also soft, and pretty warm. I love pastel, and bright colors for Springtime. Personally, I also feel like I look better with brighter colors against my skin tone. I paired it with simple navy blue pants, and light wedges. This look was appropriate for work, but also for running a few errands if I had to.

Outfit Details:

Sweater: Ross Dress 4 Less
Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Ross Dress 4 Less

The only complaint I have about my outfit, is that my pants are starting to stain my light wedges. I haven't figured out a way to clean them without ruining the shoes. If you have a suggestion on how to do that, PLEASE let me know!!

One thing I like about these outfit of the day posts, is that they give me inspiration for my own closet! For example, I may not have the exact same pieces as someone posts, but I can mix and match it with something I have that is similar!

I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy!!

What kinds of outfits do you like to wear for Spring? Has Spring sprung in your area? Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know!!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar...
