Fashion Trends

I don't consider myself to be a very trendy person. I do however, notice patterns in the clothes I wear. This is what today's post is about! In the recent weeks, I have been wearing a lot of the same types of clothes. If you have been reading this blog for a while, some of these pieces will look familiar.

The first trend I have noticed on me is stripes. I just can't get enough of horizontal stripes lately! I have more than my fair share of stripes in my overly stuffed closet.

Green and Blue sweater: Faded Glory found at Wal-Mart. This is definitely wearable in the Spring and Summer as well because it can get chilly at night.

Grey and Pink t-shirt: No Boundaries found at Wal-Mart. I LOVE this t-shirt! The colors are perfect for warmer weather, and I can't wait to wear this with a tan!! It instantly brightens up your face!

Black and White shirt: a.n.a. An New Approach found at JC Penney. This is just able to go with anything from white shorts to black leggings. With different jewelry, it can be dressed for Winter or Spring/Summer.

The next pattern I have noticed that I have been wearing lately is chiffon shirts. I love how light they are and can be dressed up or down. These are light enough to be worn under blazers, or with a cami underneath and worn alone.

Pink and Black Shirts: Nicole Miller found at Sam's Club. These are just great shirts! They can be worn with leggings, or shorts and capris.

Multicolored shirt: Liz Claiborne found at JC Penney. This shirt brightens up your face and is the perfect weight for warmer months.

What trends have you been noticing in your wardrobe lately? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Vegetable Lasagna Recipe

I made this lasagna recipe, and I think my grandma declared it the best thing she's ever eaten. She kept going back to the dish, and cutting off a small slice. Each time she would say, "This is so good!" So, if only she liked it, my day was made. However, every member of my family loved this dish, and I know you will too! It is a perfect way to use up Summer vegetables, and enjoy a delicious meal! My comments are in italics!
