March Birchbox Review

My monthly Birchbox came! I love getting little presents in the mail! Here is what was in my box this month!

Beauty Protector| Protect and Detangle: This is said to lock in color, and protect from heat damage. I will definitely be trying this out when I am finished using some other samples. You know I love any type of product for my hair! *This smells amazing!*

COOLA| Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face: I am so excited to try this! I love the fact that is is matte, and has SPF 30 in it. This could be great for the Summer months! I will definitely be reviewing this for you all!

Gilchrist & Soames| London Collection Body Lotion: This body lotion seems like it would be rich and emollient. The scent is light and "organic" and earthy. I will definitely be using this on my horribly dry winter skin.

Harvey Prince| Cherie Blossom: If you have been reading my blog, you know that I am a HUGE fan of Harvey Prince perfumes. Cherie Blossom is a slightly musky, slightly floral scent that is perfect for the upcoming Spring season.

The Lifestyle Extra this month was a tin of Tea Forte minteas. These are sugar free mints with green tea and matcha chai. These have a slight hint of cinnamon.

Ghirardelli Intense Dark Cherry Tango was a little treat in my box this month. This square has bits of cherry and almond in it. I have been trying SO hard not to eat this! Now that this post is written, I'm indulging myself!!

So what did you get in your Birchbox? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

In the past what, 4 years since the last post, I have learned a lot, and have a lot to share! So if you'll bear with me, I'd love to share some fun tips and tricks and recipes with you here on this little space on the internet.  I will give you a little reintroduction of myself.  I'm Mandii. I'm a small town girl full of random information. Sports facts, check. Fashion tips, oh yeah, I've got those a plenty! Recipes? You're speaking my language. I love all things faith, family, fashion, sports, and food related. Which is exactly what you will find on this space. I love to travel even though I don't do it nearly enough.  I don't know if I am going to commit to a full 5 days on here yet. I'll play it by ear, and if you'll stick with me, I think we can do some great things here!  I...

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar...
