Sharing the Love

Today, I feel like sharing the love. It was way back in freshman/sophomore year in college that I discovered the YouTube beauty community. I have learned so much by watching videos on reviews, tutorials, and reading the accompanying blogs to some gurus. If they only knew how much money I've spent based on their product reviews!! I could rave and rave about how much I love about these ladies, but instead I'll keep it short and sweet! I hope you learn something from them like I did!

Emilynoel83: What do I say about Emily? Her reviews are so detailed and she's not afraid to tell you when she doesn't like a product. She comes up with unique tutorials, and has just as much fun working with drugstore products as she does high end. You should check out her video of when she met Mally Roncal. I was bawling!

LaFemme5278: If you are looking for great nail polish swatches, Lindsay is your girl! She also has some great tutorials on simple neutral eye looks. She also does monthly favorites, and it never fails that I want to pick up at least 2 things from every favorites video she does! We also share a mutual love of the Real Housewives of Orange County!

Miss Glamorazzi: Ingrid is just a ray of sunshine! I discovered her while I was deciding whether or not I wanted Birchbox. After watching a few of her videos, I was hooked. I love her "Get ready with Me" videos.

MakeupTIA: The quality of Ashley's videos are superb. They aren't too short, or too long. She also has some great product reviews and her tutorials are top notch.

FleurdeForce: She has some great videos! She has everything from hair tutorials, hauls, and product reviews. You should watch her hair chalking video, it makes me want to chalk my hair like hers!

K8Bryan: If you are on Pinterest, there is no doubt that you've seen her hair. She has so many styles that range from simple to elegant. She has me hooked on Aquage Uplifting Foam.

The thing I love most about these ladies, is that I feel like I could be their friend. They are relatable, use proper grammar (big points for this teacher!), and produce high quality, informative videos. I hope that you are able to pick up tips from these ladies as I have.

Do you have a favorite YouTube guru? Is there someone that I absolutely need to watch? If there is, leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (we li

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar
