Weekend Haul

I did some shopping this weekend, and I thought I would share it with you! I collected these items over a few days, and all of it was super cheap! (Cheap=Happy Mandii!)

I bought these bandanas at Hobby Lobby. I saw Kandee Johnson's tutorial on how to tie a bandana and I wanted to recreate that look. These are slightly larger than an average bandana. I bought the red one because I am going to a tailgate at a college, and their colors are red and white! The pink one, well, who doesn't love pink and white polka dots? Best part about it, they were $.99!

I bought this Freeman Paper Mask at Wal-Mart. I have been seeing a lot recently about paper masks, and I wanted to try one. This one is made for oily skin. It has starfruit, lavender, and tea tree in it. This was only $1.37. If I like it, I might go back and get more!

If you know me, you know I love a good trip to Walgreens! I picked up 3 products from Jordana, and 1 product from Sinful Colors. The Jordana products I picked up were the 12 hour Made to Last eyeshadow pencil in Continous Almond. I also picked up 2 Twist and Shine Balm Stains in Cranberry Crush and Honey Love. I can't wait to try all of these items out and do a review for you! The lipsticks were $2.99 and the eyeshadow pencil was $3.99.

Finally, I picked up a white nail polish from Sinful Colors. This is in the color Bad Chick, and I believe it was a part of the Halloween collection. It is for nail art, but I am going to use it for French Manicures. I think the smaller brush might give me better results than a regular sized brush! This was $1.99!

So that is what I hauled in this weekend. Did you do any makeup shopping this weekend? If you did, I'd love to hear from you! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
