June Ipsy Bag

My lovely Ipsy bag arrived in the mail the other day. I actually opened it in the car because I did not want to wait until I got home to see what was in my bag! This month was great, it was like the folks at Ipsy somehow got inside my brain and knew what I wanted to try! Here is what was in my bag!

The bag this month was designed by Rebecca Minkoff. I drool over her bags on her website. I will be able to afford one of those bags one day!

NYX| Butter Gloss-Eclair: I have wanted to try these glosses for SO long! I tried this, and it did not disappoint. It is so glossy, and I like the color. I definitely will be purchasing another one of these in a different color!

Be A Bombshell| Lash Out Mascara: I have not tried this, because I just got a Mally Mascara, but once I use that I will try this one. The brush is slightly tapered on one end to get those inner corner lashes.

DERMAdoctor| DD Cream: This sample will be nice because it has SPF 30. It is self adjusting to your skin tone. This is said to provide 15 healthy skin benefits.

Nicka K| Shimmer Eyeliner: This is a liquid eyeliner. The color is a beautiful green color. I will definitely be playing around with this, especially on my upper lash line!

Marc Anthony| Dream Waves Beach Spray: I absolutely cannot wait to try this! I was just thinking about picking up a salt spray at the store, but now I can try this to see if I like it or not! I have not tried this, but it smells amazing! I am thinking about using this and then putting my hair in spin pins and giving it some curl that way. I'll keep you updated!

As always, look for reviews on some of these products!

What did you get in your Ipsy bag this month? I'd love to hear from you, leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
