Owning It

Image
I am back with another edition of Owning It. Did you enjoy the last one where I shared some of my craziness with you? I am here to say that I am crazy, so here are some more things that I can own!

1. I have only rode a bike a total of 4 times in my life. I had a bad experience when I was younger, and became scared. My grandpa pushed me from the top of the field in my backyard. I kept gaining speed and didn't know where the brakes were, so I had to fall off my bike before I hit the driveway. So after that incident, I haven't ridden. I'm 27 now, and I think I can push that experience to the back of my brain to try again. Haha!

2. I used to be scared to death of Beauty and the Beast when I was younger. Remember that one part where the Beast sees an old picture of himself and he slashes it and all you could see were his eyes? Freaked me out!! Would not watch it after that part came on. I'm cured now! I can watch it without problem now!  ;)

3. I can probably recite the movies Serendipity, Sweet Home Alabama, Date Night, and Dinner for Schmucks from memory. I have watched Serendipity so much that by listening to the soundtrack, I can tell you which part of the movie a song is from. I call that my savant side coming out. Haha!

4. Speaking of my brain, it is full of useless and random information. I read things, and then these facts just come out in random conversations. I don't even remember reading or hearing these facts, they just spew out of my mouth!

I can't wait to read all about your craziness! Leave me a comment and let me know what you've owned!

Thanks Christina for the link up!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (we li

YouTube-a-palooza

*Warning: this will be a long post, and picture heavy!*  :) Strictly based on the title alone I should have caught your attention! Sunday was the Alex Goot concert. It was at bar in Pittsburgh, and there were about 5 acts to the show!  You definitely got your money's worth! I went with my cousin, Allie (you can find her blog here! ) and it was just a fun girls night! The show was in a bar which used to be an old church, so it was very pretty inside. We got there around 6,  parked, and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes before we got to go inside. When we went in, we got our tickets scanned and  BAM , there was Landon Austin and Luke Conard at their merchandise table. So, because I somehow gained oodles of confidence*, Allie and I went over and I said "Hi Landon!"  He said "hi" back and asked me my name. I had a card for him so I handed it to him and he asked if he should open it now or later. I said that it was up to him. We moved on to Luke Conar
