Favorite Lipsticks for Summer

Can you believe that there was a time when I HATED to wear lipstick? Oh my goodness, what was wrong with me?! I am so glad my opinions have changed! I firmly believe that lipstick completes any outfit. My mother has been telling me this for years, and I definitely believe it. I put together my list of favorite lipsticks from pinks, nudes, and reds. I threw in some miscellaneous shades as well. *Just a side note, I think these shades are just as acceptable to wear in the fall and winter as well.*

The Nudes
I am not a nude lipstick fan but it is good to have at least some nude or my lips but better colors in your arsenal. Here are my favorites!

*L'Oreal Fairest Nude is probably about as nude as I will go. I pair this with a smokey eye, and some gloss over top.

*Rimmel 104 is a my lips but better shade that I am loving! It has a satin finish, and looks great with whatever I wear.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey is another MLBB shade that I wear when I want my lipstick to stay put. I'm a huge fan of these!

The Pinks/Berries
I love a pink lip. My face looks brighter when I wear a pink lip. If you are an adventurous lipstick person and haven't tried a pink lip, do it!

*Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick is a great pink lip that stays put! It fades beautifully.

*Revlon Color Burst lipstick in Fuchsia is a blue toned pink that just screams summer! With a tan, this color looks amazing!

*Wet N Wild Cherry Picking is a gorgeous berry shade. It's matte so it has incredible staying power. You can see a full review here!

The Reds
Red lipstick is so classy. It can make your teeth look whiter, and just make an outfit go from drab to fab!

*Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic is a tomato red that is great for those who are new to the red lip trend. It also fades beautifully, and lasts.

*Revlon Color Burst in Crimson is a cross between a crimson red and a brick red. Application is a breeze.

Mirenesse Glossy Kiss lipstick in Flirty Kiss is just a great true red color. You can check out my full review here!

Other colors
Everyone needs to experiment every once in a while! Here are some other colors I love!

If you want to wear the coral lip, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm stain in Rendezvous is a great one! It has just enough pink in it to make it coral and not orange.

Model Co lip gloss in Berry Pink is a great light pink gloss. I'm a huge fan of the formula. It is not sticky at all and feels great on the lips.

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Vegetable Lasagna Recipe

I made this lasagna recipe, and I think my grandma declared it the best thing she's ever eaten. She kept going back to the dish, and cutting off a small slice. Each time she would say, "This is so good!" So, if only she liked it, my day was made. However, every member of my family loved this dish, and I know you will too! It is a perfect way to use up Summer vegetables, and enjoy a delicious meal! My comments are in italics! Vegetable Lasagna Ingredients: 1 container (15oz) ricotta cheese 1 egg 1 tsp Italian seasoning 1Tbls olive oil 2 cups zucchini shredded 1 red bell pepper chopped 1 pkg frozen chopped spinach thawed and squeezed dry 2 C French Fried Onions divided 3 cups prepared Alfredo sauce No boil lasagna noodles 2 C shredded mozzarella cheese divided 1/4 C grated Parmesan cheese Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
