Favorite Summer Shoes

This is a requested post, so I figured why not? I seem to have terrible luck with my shoes. If I like them, they hurt my feet. I get blisters, and things just get ugly. In the summer however, I love wearing sandals, wedges, and flip flops.

I threw in some basics, as well as some fun shoes that I absolutely adore! There is a mix of wedges, flats, and sandal-type shoes. These are the shoes I wear most often, however....I have a lot of shoes, and 50% I don't wear. It's sad.

  • The brown wedges came from Target. I love the gold detailing on the front, and the straps make me feel like I'm not going to walk right out of them!

  • Are these nude flats just the cutest thing? These are A.N.A. from JC Penney. Every time I wear them I feel like Pocahontas! "Can you paint with all the colors in the wind..." They are so comfortable, and go with anything!

  • These black wedges are also from A.N.A. at JC Penney's. They are simple, and go with anything. And for my bad feet, they are very comfortable.

  • These beauties came from Marshalls, and are by the brand JUMP for the people. I got these on clearance, and I love the sneaker detailing with the simple wedge.

  • These are from No Boundaries which are found at Wal-Mart. I wear these all the time with jean shorts. The stripes are subtle, and the bow adds just enough girlie touch.

  • Believe it or not, these are crocs. I have been wearing these often because our weather in PA has been absolute rubbish. Perfect rain shoe, and definitely cuter than original crocs. (Yes, I do have a pair of those as well...)
What are your favorite Summer shoes? I'd love to hear from you, so please leave me a comment!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
