St. Patty's Day OOTD and Makeup

The reason I didn't post anything on Saturday is because we surprised my Grandpa with a party for his 90th birthday! Several of my cousins flew in and all of his kids were there. My aunt and my mom cooked the food and we had a grand time. Getting together with family is always fun. I especially loved seeing my cousins that I haven't seen in a while.

Here was my outfit of the day for the party!

My top is from Apt 9 from Khols. Best part, it was $8.00! I love the silver mini sequins on the collar and cuffs. I paired it with my favorite dark wash T3 pants from Lane Bryant. I wore a nude colored tank underneath my shirt. For jewelry, I wore my rose gold Merona watch from Target, and earrings designed and made by my cousin!

My makeup was simple. I used my Willa moisturizer, all over my face. I used Prime Time makeup primer from Bare Minerals. Then, I used my Mary Kay mineral foundation in the color Beige. For blush, I used my ELF all over color stick in Pink Lemonade on the apples of my cheeks and to set it, I used the Physicians Formula Happy Booster blush.

My eye makeup came from the Naked 2 palette. I used Urban Decay primer potion all over my lids. After that, came a light coating of Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded. I used Verve on my lids, and Pistol in my crease, and Bootycall as a highlight. I deepened the outer V with Blackout. I finished my look with 2 coats of Covergirl Lashblast Volume. I lined my lower lids with a green color from an undisclosed palette that I can't find the name to. Add a coat of mascara and we were good to go!

My lipstick was Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey.

There was my completed look! What was your St. Patrick's Day outfit? Did you wear green? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Cooking for a Crowd: Spaghetti Sauce

My family likes to save money when we have parties. One way to do so is to cook everything ourselves, instead of hiring a caterer. Today, I wanted to give you a recipe for spaghetti sauce that will feed a crowd. This recipe is best made in an 18 quart roast pan. We bought most of our sauces and tomato paste at Costco. Ingredients: 2 onions 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 #10 cans of tomato sauce 1 #10 can on spaghetti sauce 1 heaping tsp of garlic minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes 4 (6 oz) cans of tomato paste 1 tsp sugar Onion and garlic salt, italian seasoning, parsley, oregano to taste 1 pound of each: ground meat, hot and sweet sausage Look at the deliciousness!  In a skillet brown your meat and sausage in a little oil. Once browned place off to the side. Combine your onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, and crushed tomatoes. *Sweat your onions down first, then add the garlic. Then your tomatoes.* Open your tomato sauces and spaghetti sauces (w...

Christmas/New Year's Recap

First, I just want to say that I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. I'm terrible, I know. In my defense, I was sick all through Christmas and just wasn't feeling "it." I do however, have pictures of some of the gifts I received and New Year's. Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my parents and I. We had lasagna, wedding soup, salad, bread, and Italian butter. I made a homemade alfredo sauce to go along with the lasagna. I also made the Italian butter, and attempted to make my homemade French bread. This year, the bread did not turn out. For dessert, I made white chocolate raspberry shooters. They were SO good! I will do a recipe on those when I make them again! After everything was cleaned up, we honestly just relaxed. I would have liked to have gone to Christmas Eve service at our church, but I was coughing, clearing my throat every 5 minutes, and blowing my nose every 10. I was a hot mess. My grandparents came back out to our house after church and w...
